Black Brigade (aka Carter's Army)

This WWII drama tells the story of a racist officer (played by Stephen Boyd) put in charge of a squad of black troops charged with seizing a dam topped with a critical roadway before the Germans can destroy it. Originally produced as for television with the title Carter's Army , it first aired on the ABC television network's ABC Movie of the Week on January 27, 1970. The film was retitled Black Brigade for later and home video release. UPLOADER COMMENT: This well done TV Movie, starring Richard Pryor, Rosie Greer, Billy Dee Williams, and Stephen Boyd, depicts racist attitudes toward black soldiers in World War Two. Richard Pryor gives a fine performance as does the rest of the cast.
