Reel 2: Explains that production in America has tripled since 1940 with mechanization. The farmer harvests his crops to make the most of each acre despite government programs to control production and raise prices. Farmers explain their fears of disastrous price disparities in the market. Points out that the farmer's economic security is vital to the national economic well-being."
